MARTINSVILLE, VA, APRIL 20, 2026 – The Smith River Singers, under the direction of Dr. Pamela Randall, invite the community to their upcoming spring concert, “America the Beautiful,” a moving musical journey that celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
The performance is free to the public and will be held on Monday, May 11th, at the Galilean House of Worship. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m.
This year’s theme highlights the American experience through a thoughtfully curated program of choral works. The audience will experience a powerful blend of patriotic selections, traditional favorites, and contemporary pieces that reflect both the beauty of the country and the resilience of its people.
Founded in 2014, the Smith River Singers have grown into a vibrant ensemble of more than 80 voices, known for their musical excellence and for connecting with audiences across the region.
Enhancing this year’s concert is an orchestra composed of professional musicians alongside outstanding local youth performers. This collaboration not only elevates the musical experience but also provides meaningful opportunities for young musicians to perform at a high level.
