Mission
Our mission is to enrich the cultural life of our community through the pursuit of artistic excellence in choral music performance.
About Us
Smith River Singers is a group of talented, non-audition volunteer singers form the Martinsville & Henry County area. SRS was founded in 2014 by Dr. Pamela Randall with a vision to continue the strong legacy of choral excellence in the community. What started out as a small chorus of 20 passionate and committed members, has become an ensemble of 75 voices and growing.
The SRS serves thousands of audience members annually through highly-anticipated concerts and collaboration with area student and professional musicians. The Smith River Singers believes in the power of music to unite and presents concerts to the community free of charge, thanks to partners and donors.
Smith River Singers presents repertoire that covers a wide variety of choral music from contemporary to classical, sacred, and secular. The entirely volunteer chorus rehearses once weekly under the baton of Dr. Randall and is accompanied by pianist Beth Chapman.
